It took a half an hour of thrashing around in the crowded loading area before finally get off the boat. They are running all sorts of boats and activities (jet skies, banana boats, parasailing, etc ) out of one tiny launch area. After a disappointing 6 hour day, we returned to their dock to utter chaos.

The equipment was in very poor condition: the rods and reels were being held together by epoxy and the line was at least 10 years old and kept snapping anytime anything got on the line. The two guides on our boat clearly did not know how to fish, they didn't use the right lures or fish in the right spots. The 'captain' was pressing two exposed wires together to try to get it started. The boat we went out on was completely run down.

First when we arrived the cashier gave us attitude for trying to pay with a card so to be nice, we drove back to an atm to pay with cash.

My husband is a pretty avid fisherman so we were looking forward to getting on the ocean in Bali. My husband and I had the unfortunate experience of chartering a boat to go fishing from Bali Dolphin.
